Chiropractic versus Medical Education

Chiropractic versus Medical Education

Chiropractic education versus Medical education

Chiropractors go through an immense amount of education to earn a Doctor of Chiropractic (a.k.a. D.C.) degree.

Their collegiate agenda is as follows:

  • A graduate of a four-year college.
  • Completion of at least two years of undergraduate study with a focus on the sciences.
  • Four years of chiropractic education.
  • Complete mandatory internships.
  • A minimum of 900 hours of work in a chiropractic clinic.
  • Pass written and oral board examinations at the national and state levels (U.S. and Canada) upon graduation.

A chiropractor may choose to advance their degree in an area of specialty.

These areas include:  Chiropractic Neurology, Radiology, Sports Medicine as well as many other fields.
